Additional loads can be transported using the roof carrier.
Note the following points if you intend to carry loads on the roof:
- Only use roof carriers designed for this particular roof (supplied with the vehicle).
- These cross bars form the basic elements of a complete roof carrier system: Further components must then be attached in order to transport luggage, bicycles, surf boards or skis on the roof. All the elements of this system are available from Audi dealers.
Caution!
Any damage to the vehicle caused by the use of other types of roof carriers or incorrect installation will not be covered by the factory warranty. When attaching additional elements, it is important that you observe the assembly instructions suppled with the components.
Note
When the roof carrier cross bars supplied with your vehicle are attached to the roof railings, the ESP is adapted to the change in the centre of gravity of the vehicle caused by any loading of the vehicle.
